What are you searching for?
Skin-conscious consumers are seeking alternatives to traditional chemical peels.
With consumer interest in beauty products at an all-time high, the demand for innovative face services is rapidly increasing.
According to the beauty trend analysts at Spate, the fastest-growing face services are BioRePeel and snail facials.
BioRePeel is a non-invasive, gentle alternative to traditional chemical peels that uses a combination of acids and enzymes to exfoliate the skin. This trend is rapidly growing with an average of 5.4K monthly searches, and a +5.4K% growth in searches compared to last year. BioRePeel has also been trending on TikTok, with +374.2% YoY growth. With the sole search query for this trend being “biorepeel,” the trend is still in its infancy. But analysts at Spate predict will gain traction given its current hold on prominent TikTokers.
The hashtag #acnetreatment on the top social media platform is growing alongside this trend, with 366.1K total views. Its top related concern is #acnescars with 213.4K total views. For brands, this means acne and acne scars are pain points consumers are looking to address with in-person services and acne services that are less invasive.
Snail facial is another growing trend, expanding beyond the popular at-home snail mucin skincare products, Spate says. It has an average of 1.0K monthly searches and a +349.1% growth in searches compared to last year. While snail facials are very new, snail mucin continues to trend on US Google search, with +124.0% YoY growth and 131.6K average monthly searches. As consumers continue to learn about the benefits and properties of snail mucin – seen with search queries such as “what is snail mucin” and “snail mucin benefits” – there is an opportunity for brands to further educate their audience. For now, consumers are associating snail mucin with skincare products, which should help brands promote snail facials.
